Akku Akbar`s next movie lead is Suraj Venjaramoodu
Be it essaying comic characters or intense roles on-screen, actor Suraj Venjaramoodu has always made a mark. After taking up the lead role in Akku Akbar’s next, the National Award winner is all set to essay the main protagonist in another film, which will be scripted by Santhosh Echikkanam and directed by debutant Sabah.
Though Suraj is not sure about how much details he can divulge right now, the film’s scriptwriter says, “He will be seen essaying the role of a man called Subramaniam in the film. He belongs to a village that is affected by water scarcity. However, the pond in front of Suraj’s house is always full and so he doesn’t have suffer from water woes.”
The yet-to-be-titled film, he says, can be called a satire, and predominantly talks about the issue of water scarcity, and “It delves deep into how badly it affects a family and the society at large. It also discusses the political and social dimensions of the issue, one could also draw parallels with the Tamil film Thanneer Thanneer.”
Santhosh quickly adds that it is not just about the sad state of affairs in the State, but will have all the elements of a commercial movie, an intense love story and humour as well.
About the cast, he says, “While the hunt for the two strong female characters are on, the film will have Alencier Ley, Sudheer Karamana, Sudhi Koppa and Manikandan, among many others.”
