Anoop Menon-Murali Gopy combo again
After playing octogenarians in Pa.Va, Anoop Menon and Murali Gopy will once again team up for the upcoming directorial debut of editor-turned-filmmaker Don Max.
The director, who has edited several hits including ABCD and Tamil film Jilla, has also scripted his debut venture. “It’s a family-centric movie and has a lot of thrilling moments in it,” says Don, sharing that the film is tentatively titled 10 Kalpanakal.
The rest of the cast will be finalised within a week and the filming will start by April, he informs. Interestingly, the entire film will be shot in Idukki. The last film to be shot extensively in Idukki was Maheshinte Prathikaaram, which showcased the picturesque locales. Meanwhile, Anoop is currently filming for Deepu Karunakaran’s Karimkunnam Sixes, which again has Murali Gopy in an important role. While the former appears as Manju Warrier’s husband in it, Murali will play a jail warden.
Their next release, Pa.Va, is a love story spanning several decades -from the 1930s to the present. “It’s an experimental film but with entertaining elements. Both Murali and I are really looking forward to the release as it was one of the most challenging ventures for both of us,” reveals Anoop Menon, about the film that will hit theatres by May end.
