Anoop Menon`s role in 10 Kalpanakal
Anoop Menon, who plays an Army major in ‘Kuttikalundu Sookshikkuka’, is busy shooting for Don Max’s directorial debut ’10 Kalpanakal’. His role in the film, says the actor, is one of the toughest he has taken up.
“I play a forest officer in the movie,” the actor says. “After Cocktail and Traffic , it’s the first time I am doing such a riveting thriller. At the same time, it’s also a family drama as it talks about family values and our religious belief systems too. The film is much relevant to our time and addresses a pertinent issue.”
Ask him more about his role in the movie and the ‘Vikramadityan’ star says, “The focus is more on the father and husband he is than about his occupation. My character is a family man who lives in a sleepy hamlet near a forest. How he gets embroiled in a case forms the plot.”
Apart from Anoop, the film also has Meera Jasmine and Kaniha, both of whom have been missing from Mollywood for a while. “Meera plays a cop and hers is a major character in the movie,” explains Anoop, adding that ’10 Kalpanakal’ is shot entirely in Idukki.
Meanwhile, Anoop Menon’s next release will be the sports drama ‘Karinkunnam Sixes’, which has him playing Manju Warrier’s husband. The duo had previously acted together in G Marthandan’s ‘Pavada’.
