Anti-piracy Cell seize Premam copies from Censor Board office
The Anti-piracy Cell of the Kerala police has seized the copies of the film ‘Premam’ from the Censor Board’s office here.
The police conducted a raid at the office after officials failed to submit the copies to them before Friday noon, which was the deadline.
The police had asked the Censor Board to hand over the film’s copy sent for censoring and the one being exhibited now. However, the officials hesitated to hand over the copy citing that they needed the permission from their Mumbai office to do so.
The police had warned that they will have to seize the copy since it is an evidence. Though the officials had promised to hand over the copies by Friday morning, they failed to do so forcing the police to resort to conducting a raid.
