Phil Hughes, 25, passed away at a Sydney hospital after fighting for his life for three days after being hit on the head by a bouncer bowled by Sean Abbott at the Sydney Cricket Ground during a Sheffield Shield game on Tuesday. After being in coma for three days, he finally succumbed to his injuries. According to a report on TOI.com, Australia team doctor Peter Brukner said in a statement released on Thursday, “It is my sad duty to inform you that a short time ago Phillip Hughes passed away. He never regained consciousness following his injury on Tuesday. He was not in pain before he passed and was surrounded by his family and close friends.” His untimely death has shocked not only cricket fans and lovers across the world, but celebs too.
