What’s your role like?
I play Sarala, a village girl complete with two plaits and half sari. I am thrilled to play Sarala and really thankful to director Nagendra Kumar for having the faith in me to carry out this role. Its vastly different from what I have done so far.
Why this long gap?
I was buys in Telugu films but now I am happy to be back with a bang with this bilingual.
Producer Lakshmi Manchu is a lady. How is your equation with her?
I am very thankful to her since she gave me a big break. She is the most wonderful person and friend and a great support. I support her in all her victories. She has also done a big role in this film and she is a very dear friend. I am very glad she offered me this role and I said yes to her immediately.
Whats the movie about?
It a story of four people, Aadhi, Lakshmi, Sundeep and myself. The backdrop of the story is based on a true incident of the AP floods in 1986.
How does it feel to be a part of a film which has music by Ilayaraja?
For me, it’s a dream come true to be in a film with Ilayaraja’s music! I feel my being in the film industry has given me the richest reward with this one factor!
I am doing the Ajit, Nayan and Arya starrer produced by AM Rathnam. I am very lucky that so early in my career I got to work with actors like Dhanush, Adhi and Arya.
