Denying the media reports of Congress’ infighting over the post of opposition leader, KPCC chief VM Sudheeran on Saturday said that the party is waiting for its high command’s decision.
“There is no confusion. Such media reports are baseless. We’ll announce the opposition leader soon after receiving high command’s decision,” he told media on Saturday.
Sudheeran also said that the party will examine the UDF candidate’s failure in Nemon constituency, where the NDA candidate O.
Rajagopal won. According to party sources, the outgoing home minister Ramesh Chennithala, who belongs to the Igroup in the party, is likely to become new opposition leader. Most of the Congress candidates who won in the Assembly election belong to Igroup
