Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress party does not have any sort of ties with the Popular Front of India (PFI), KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala said here Thursday.Chennithala who was speaking at a press conference held as a part of the leadership meetings here said that the PFI and the RSS are two sides of the same coin.
It is up to the government to ban the organisations that have to be banned, he said. The Congress would support the move, he said. The Congress has no connection with any organisation that takes a communal stand, he said.
Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has got the votes of the PFI. It was the CPM that shared stage with the PDP, he said. Chennithala rejected the allegation that the Congress was not prompt in taking a strong stand in the Muvatupuzha hand chopping incident.
