Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said here on Friday that the statement by the CPI(M) that the United Democratic Front (UDF) government was undoing the development initiatives of the previous Left Democratic Front (LDF) government was baseless and aimed at misleading the people.
He was speaking after inaugurating a convention organised by the District Congress Committee (DCC). Mr. Chandy said the UDF government had already embarked on its dream project to make Kerala a fully electrified State in the next five years. According to him, the Kerala Public Service Commission had sent advice memos to 42,000 job seekers during the past eight months besides regularising 3,300 M-panel workers attached to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation.
He said the government had also taken steps to disburse salary to as many as 10,533 teachers. The government has also been chalking out various schemes to generate more employment opportunities, he added.
