Devi Ajith talks about Fahad
Devi Ajith is determined to shed the bold actress tag and replace it with the image of a versatile artiste.
In her next project Mariyam Mukku, directed by James Albert, Devi plays a woman living in the coastal area named Kathreena. She is excited to have got an opportunity to work alongside different generations of Mollywood actors and the local residents of Thankasseri, who double up as actors in the film. Devi is also all praise for Fahadh Faasil, with whom she acts for the first time.
“Both Fahadh and I were part of Lal Jose’s Immanuel, but we did not have scenes together unlike in Mariyam Mukku. He is not someone who retreats into a caravan after a scene. Fahadh comes across as a down-to-earth person with no starry airs. I did not feel like being in the presence of one of the top artistes in the industry, as he always behaved like one among us,” she says. As most of the scenes were shot outdoors, the actress says she is all tanned up, but loved the experience.
Saaju, who is more famous as Paashanam Shaji, acts as her husband in the film.
