Dhanush roped in as League brand ambassador for Tamil Nadu
Actor Dhanush, who was on Tuesday was roped in as the ambassador of Hero Super Indian Football League for Tamil Nadu said as a passionate enthusiast of the game, he’d love to work in football-based script. “I’ve been a fan of football for very long. It is 90 minutes of super fun, so you don’t have waste your entire day in front of television screen,” Dhanush told reporters here.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhanush said, “The inaugural season of the Hero Indian Super League revolutionised Indian football and brought quality football action for millions of fans across the country. This year, the league promises to be more competitive and captivating. As a keen football fan, I am excited to be a part of the league and promote the sport amongst all my fellow fans in our own language. Watch out Machas, the Hero Indian Super League is back!”
Answering a question on whether he’d like to work in a football-based script, he said: “I’d really love to work in a film associated with the sport.”
As a passionate football fan, Dhanush will be wearing his team colours of Chennaiyin FC during the domestic football league. The second season of the league starts from Saturday. The opening game will feature the defending Champions Atletico de Kolkata taking on the home team Chennaiyin FC on October 3.
