Govt will not tolerate any laxity: Revenue minister

Kozhikode: Kerala Revenue minister K P Rajendran has warned  land sharks and their benefactors that  they would be dealt with an iron fist and the law dealing with land grabbing would  be strictly implemented in the state. While inaugurating the district-level title deed mela, he said, ”for encroachment, the law prescribes jail term in addition to levying fine.”

Govt intends to evict all illegal occupants and recapture all the land including that in Munnar. “Encroachments on govt land would not go unpunished,” warned the minister adding, “the officials who are helping the land sharks and their assistants will face severe action. This Govt will not tolerate any laxity”.All those who are eligible will be issued  tilte deed by the end of April. The minister informed that  Land Bank for protecting Govt land will be inaugurated the 17th of next month .
