Actor Dileep, who has been entangled in the actress attack case, on Wednesday, said he had not sought any legal advice amid reports of the police getting ready to question him again. “I have no qualms about the current probe into the case.
I have not sought legal advice on any case,” Dileep told Manorama News. Earlier, there were reports that Dileep and his friend director Nadhirshah had sought legal advice as police hinted at making a crucial arrest. Though rumors were rife that a crucial arrest would be made on Monday, the police could not find enough evidence to take action.
Dileep had repeatedly denied having any links with Suni even while admitting that he was not in good terms with the actress, who survived the horrific night. The actress was waylaid, abducted and allegedly molested by a gang in the car, when she was returning from her workplace on February 17.
Though rumors were rife that a crucial arrest would be made on Monday, the police could not find enough evidence to take action. Pulsar Suni, arrested six days after the crime, had alleged a conspiracy behind the incident.
A letter purportedly written by or at the behest of Pulsar Suni to Dileep and an audio clip of a telephonic conversation between the accused and the actor’s manager had come out recently, pointing fingers at the actor. The cops had then questioned the actor and Nadhirshah at Aluva police club on June 28. The 13-hour grilling of the duo had raised many a eyebrow.
