Attack on actress:Pulsar Suni offered Rs 30L for attacking actress, accomplices tell police
The prime accused in the actress attack case had offered an amount of Rs 30 lakh to his accomplices, police said Sunday.
However, Sunil Kumar, better known as Pulsar Suni, did not give them the promised money after the crime, the two men who were arrested from Coimbatore told the police.
“Their plan was to get the money from the actress by blackmailing her,” police sources told Manorama News. However, toppling their plan, the courageous woman filed a police complaint and gave a detailed statement to the magistrate.
The investigating team also said that Pulsar Suni and two other culprits, who have gone into hiding, are still in Kerala. After the assault on actress in a moving car in Kochi, the gang escaped in two groups.
Two of them were arrested from Coimbatore Saturday night.
Friday night, the actress was waylaid and assaulted while she was traveling from Thrissur to Kochi by the gang who reportedly took pictures of her to blackmail her. The gang kept her as a hostage in the car for nearly 2 hours.
