The standoff between Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation (KFEF) and the Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) has been resolved, according to reports. The KFEF has backed down from its demand for a 50 percent share of the boxoffice collection for now, Manorama News reported.
A consensus was reached to end the standoff for the time being till the government arrives at a decision on this. The consensus formula was chalked out following the intervention of the chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Malayalam films could not be released in Kerala since December 16 due to the tussle following the Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation’s (KFEF) demand on theater collections. An official announcement would be made on Tuesday.
