Take Off falls into a criticism that it is a know story so the excitement can be less, however is an absolute must-watch if you would like to witness Malayalam Movie Industries earnest attempt to fly next level inspired by the real-life rescue of Indian nurses who were stuck in Tikrit, Iraq on 2014 during the civil war.
The movie shows the life of its protagonist Sameera who is a nurse who along with her husband travels to Iraq for work.
Mahesh Narayanan’s first directorial Take Off has been one of the most-awaited films this year for several reasons which has Parvathy playing as the central character as nurse Sameera. It went little interesting because it was based on the real-life story of the rescue of 46 Indian nurses who were stranded in Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Tikrit, Iraq, when IS militants took over the city in 2014.
The film slips into a very interesting thriller by the first half involved with interesting family drama. The second half, filled with sequences of the Islamic State capturing Mosul and Tikrit.. This also shows holding the nurses captive and their attempts to survive and escape the militants offers moments of excitement, anxiety and emotional outbursts.
The director has absolutely proven his mettle in portrayal of the crisis in the Arab region and the extremists’ encounters with the nurses. The moderation with which the sequences are handled is highly commendable.
Overall this is a must match movie which you will not be bored in the theater. Very review and rating by most of the watched peoples. Ignore the criticism if you would like to see some excitement
