Actress Miya seems to be the default choice of Mollywood filmmakers when it comes to entrusting the roles of bold women in media.
After playing such characters in Memories and 32aam Adhyayam 23aam Vakyam, she has been cast as a journalist again, in K R Rajesh’s upcoming movie Make A Wish. The project, which is touted to be a trilingual in Malayalam, Tamil and English, has State Award winner Sudev Nair as the protagonist.
Rajesh says, “Miya is Sudev’s romantic interest in the movie and her character, a media personality, is named Indira. We are creating her look now and it will reflect the ‘comfortable-yet-chic’ style of journos, which lets them work and travel with ease.”
The film’s shoot is expected to start by the last week of November, and it has Bangalore, Mysore, Ooty and Kodaikanal as the main locations. Meanwhile, Sudev’s role has been kept under wraps. The My Life Partner actor says, “All I can say is that my character is someone who grants a wish, from which the movie’s title is inspired.” Sudev and Miya have worked together for Sachy’s upcoming movie Anarkali as well.
