Mrudula Murali is back to limelight!
Actress Mrudula Murali has been missing in action from M – Town for a while, as her studies kept her acting career at bay. Now, the actress is back to limelight with the Fahadh Faasil starrer Ayal Njan Alla. The project, which is the debut directorial venture of actor Vineeth Kumar, is an entertainer for which filmmaker Ranjith has penned the script.
“I essay the character of Esha, a ‘Gullu’ in the film,” says Mrudula. “Yes, you heard it properly- Her father is a Malayali and her mother is a Guajarati and hence a Gullu, not a Gujju,” beams the actress about her character. The actress who has completed her shoot portions in Bhujj in Gujarat says she had a whale of a time working with the team. “During the shoot, I went for a food trail, trying the authentic local cuisines of Kutch. Also, I have a number of Gujarati friends, so it was great time,” says Mrudula and shares her experience in Gujarat, “The whole shooting was done during the winter season, and during such times, the locals normally woke up at 10 in the morning. Though the whole production team would get ready by 6 am, we had to wait for the drivers and locals. It was an entirely different experience.”
Meanwhile Mrudula is listening to scripts from both Mollywood and Tamil, but hasn’t signed on the dotted lines yet. “I can’t call myself choosy, but I prefer to wait rather than sign all the movies that come my way.” Her next in Kollywood is Chikkikku Chikkikichi in which she plays the character of Varsha, a very bubbly girl. She reveals, “The whole story unravels during a train journey from Chennai to Nagercoil. Hence, I am wearing the same costume for more or less all the scenes. I am pinning my hopes on it.”
