The government will take a decision that will safeguard the interest on the state regarding the retrieval of encroached land in Munnar, said Chief minister Oommen Chandy here on Saturday. He was responding to reporters’ quires on the High Court order asking the government to return the lands retrieved from resorts.
He added that an inquiry would be conducted into the allegations raised by MES president P A Fazal Gafoor about sanctioning of plus two batches.
‘The government holds the court in high esteem. The verdict delivered by the High Court would be thoroughly analysed and a decision would be taken accordingly. If any mistake is found in the Munnar operation procedures, it will be rectified. If there is a need to approach higher courts, the government will do it. Whatever the move, it will be in the interest of the state,’ he said.
He said the plus two allocation process was transparent and MES president might be mistaken.
The CM had arrived in Kozhikode to announce the complete electrification and also to launch Onam-Ramzan Khadi mela.
