Popular Front activists were behind the attack: Police

Thodupuzha: Police Sunday said that Popular Front activists were behind the attack on the college professor T.J. Joseph at Muvatupuzha.The police took two persons into custody in the case and found the vehicle used by the assailants. The vehicle was taken to the Muvatupuzha police station.

Joseph, currently on bail for preparing a inflammatory question paper, had his right palm chopped off by a group of eight unidentified people Sunday morning, police said.Joseph, a Malyalam teacher, was suspended by Thodupuzha New Man College after angry protest marches by various Muslim organisations.
