National award winner Prakashraj again appears in Malayalam through `Anwar’. “The story and screenplay of `Anwar’ attracted me much. That’s why I accepted this film.” Prakashraj said when he arrived to attend the pooja at Ernakulam.
Pooja of Amal Neerad’s new project ‘Anwar’ performed in Ernakulam on Tuesday. Prithwiraj appears in lead role. Mamta Mohandas is the heroine. She dons the role of a Muslim Girl.
The last film he appeared in Malayalam was “Paandipada”. The film `Anwar’ which scripted by Amal Neerad will have its dialogues written by Unni and Sreejith D.Pillai. “Eventhough the background of the film is terrorism, it tells the pathetic story of youngsters who were attracted to the tangles of terrorist activities.
It is narrated in a novel way with compassion.” Amal Neerad said. Under the Banner of Celebes and Carpet, Raj Zacharias is producing the film. ‘Anwar’ will start to roll by the mid of February. Ernakulam, Kannur and Rameswaram are the locations. Amal Neerad’s earlier films were ‘Big B’ and ‘Sagar alias Jackey’. Debutant Satheesh Kurup will handle the camera.
