Prithviraj goes high range
It seems to be the season of ‘Kottayam Kunjachans’ in M-Town now. After Mammootty taking up an achayan character in Johny Anthony’s next, Prithviraj is gearing up to play such a role in director Jinu Abraham’s upcoming film, titled Adam.
Jinu says, “The film is a family thriller and Prithvi’s character Adam John Pothen is a planter from the high range area of Theekkoy, near Mudakkayam in Kottayam. He isn’t a hardcore achayan as he has studied abroad, and so his character is a bit of urbanised. Adam’s father was a typical landlord, and after his death, he takes over the management of his property. He loves the job.”
Jinu himself has scripted the movie, which has Mundakkayam, Kochi and Scotland as the main locations. “We will be shooting in Scotland during the summer. The shoot will otherwise commence around February,” says Jinu, adding that Jomon T John will crank the camera for the movie.
The heroines and the rest of the crew are yet to be finalised, informs the director. Prithviraj had played a notable achayan role in Kamal’s 2003 film Swapnakoodu.
