Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Indrajit Croon for Amar Akbar Anthony
Multi-starrer movies have become the norm of the industry and Nadirsha’s directorial debut Amar Akbar Anthony is no exception. The movie has already been in the news for the funky looks of its lead actors, Indrajith, Prithviraj and Indrajith, and now the latest is that they have also lent their voices for a peppy track in the movie along with actor Shajon. The song is penned and composed by the director himself. A situational dream sequence, it also has actress Iniya shaking her leg, in a cameo appearance.
Nadirsha says, “It’s a situational kallu number, which comes up as they slip into a dream. Its moves are put together by renowned Kollywood choreographer Dinesh. Indran, Prithvi, Jayasurya and Shajon have given the song their vocal best. It goes Premamennal Enthanu Penne, Karalinte Ullile Theeyanu Kanne…”
Iniya, who danced with Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya for the song, says, “It was quite an adipoli experience and being a song that teases girls, it was fun dancing to it. We shot for three days at a film city. Nadirsha has known me for long, and I took it up as I knew he would make sure it’s captured well. With all of us appearing in funky attires and giving stylish moves, it was a memorable experience for me.” All of the actors have sung for quite a few films in the past too. But this is the first time they have come together to croon for a song. Will this set a new trend of multi-star-vocalists in Malayalam?
