The Kerala government has allocated Rs 20 crore for carrying out relief efforts in the aftermath of the Kollam temple fireworks mishap that claimed 109 lives, chief minister Oommen Chandy has said.
The government will also take care of two minor children, who lost both parents in the mishap.
The siblings Krishna and Kishore will be under government protection.

Out of the 1039 people who were treated for burn injuries, the condition of 27 is critical. Thirteen of the deceased are yet to be identified. The CM has called for an allparty meet on April 14 to hold discussions on regulating massive fireworks display. Chandy also thanked all those who pledged support to Kerala during its time of crisis.
