Richa opts out of Bollywood film!
While Richa Gangopadhyay may be the toast of K-Town this season, Bollywood will have to wait to get a glimpse of her.
She has walked out of her debut Hindi project with Sushi Ganesh (aka Susi Ganesan), because she couldn’t sort out dates with her current Telugu project.
Richa was supposed to play the character originally played by Sonia Aggarwal in Shortcut Romeo, a remake of the Tamil flick Thiruttu Payale. Says the actress, “The teams of my current Telugu project and Shortcut Romeo sat down to work on the schedules together to ensure there was no clash of dates whatsoever. But director Sushi Ganesh wanted me to allot dates at a stretch of over a month and half together.” Another reason for this decision we learn is due to actor Neil Nitin Mukesh’s dates. Richa says, “He was to be paired opposite me, yet we couldn’t seem to match our shooting schedules. Since we couldn’t reach a consensus regarding the dates, it was a mutual decision that I cease to be a part of the project.”
