Sai Pallavi speaks about denying glamourous roles
Her makeup-less look and the classy yet simple demeanour are often quoted as the reasons why the Malayali audience loved Sai Pallavi in Premam. The actress, who has made inroads into Telugu industry recently with a Sekhar Kammula – Varun Tej project, has been the topic of conversation on certain online forums recently. According to the reports, a few Tamil directors, who are interested to work with her, are upset by the actress’ refusal to wear glamourous costumes and deliver double entendre lines.
While rumours are rife that the directors even complained to her about it, the actress pooh-poohs it all. “I haven’t even started working in the Tamil industry for anyone to complain about me. I really don’t know how people come up with such funny rumours,” she tells us.
Interestingly, the Premam actress also says no one in the industry has ever approached her with such demands. Says Sai, “Surprisingly, no one has ever given me double meaning dialogues or asked me to wear clothes I am not comfortable in. Everyone has been extremely sweet with me.”
