Sathyan Anthikad’s son to debut in Dulquer film
With his village-based themes and rugged characters, director Sathyan Anthikad has given several evergreen hits to Mollywood.
Now, his son Anoop Sathyan is gearing up for his debut directorial with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The movie will be scripted by National Award-winning scribes Bobby and Sanjay, who will start working on it from February next year. On the plot of the film, Sanjay says, “It will be a light-hearted cinema. The character psyche and mental make-up of the protagonist will be something that Dulquer has never done so far.”
The film will have Trivandrum as its main location. “We might also shoot a few portions in Kochi, though we are yet to finalise it,” the scriptwriter says. The Traffic duo will begin working on Anoop’s directorial only after finishing Rosshan Andrrews’ School Bus, which has Kunchacko Boban in the lead.
Anoop tells us, “I had just one meeting with Dulquer. So any talk about the details of the film would be premature.” Anoop had previously worked with the actor in Lal Jose’s Vikramadityan. “It was fun to work with him and I hope our equation helps the movie too,” he says.
