Srushti Dange and Ma Ka Pa were against kiss scene!
Srushti Dange, who made an impression with Megha, has her hands full in Kollywood. With three films in her kitty, the actress is happy doing varied roles. She says, “After doing Megha, many filmmakers thought that I could do only girl-next-door roles. But my upcoming films have something different to offer. For instance, in Vil Ambu, I play a city girl. I am waiting for Vijay Vasanth’s Achchamindri film, too, which has an urban look.”
Srushti is also clear about staying away from doing controversial scenes. “My next film Navarasa Thilagam with Ma Ka Pa Anand is an out-and-out comedy entertainer. There was a kissing scene that director Kamran narrated me during the fag end of the shoot. Both Ma Ka Pa and I were not comfortable with that scene as it was inappropriate for the story. I am not against doing a kiss scene, but I don’t want to do a scene that has no connection with the story.”
The actress has also completed Kathukutti, in which she plays a role of a village belle. “I am paired opposite Narain of Anjathey fame. The film has been primarily shot in Thanjavur. I had to speak in the native accent and it was difficult for me to learn the Thanjavur slang. It’s a comedy film, but my character in the film is something to be watch out
