THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The budget session of the Kerala Assembly will begin on Friday with the customary Governor’s Address. The State budget for 2011-’12 will be presented in the House on February 10.
Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, Speaker K. Radhakrishnan said the 17th session of the 12th Kerala Assembly would be in session for 13 days and conclude on February 24. The House would discuss the motion of thanks for the Governor’s Address on February 7, 8 and 9. Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac would, besides presenting the last budget of the V.S. Achuthanandan government, place the Vote on Account for the first four months of fiscal 2011-’12 on February 10. The House would skip its session the following day in view of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to the State. The discussion on the budget would take place on February 14, 16 and 17.
