Vineeth Sreenivasan turns lodge manager !
After doing films like Aby and Aana Alaralodalaral, he has opted for yet another movie in which he will play a simpleton. Titled Aravindante Athithikal, it is directed by M Mohanan and will go on floors in December.
“It’s a feel-good movie and the story happens outside Kerala,” reveals M Mohanan. In the film, Vineeth’s eponymous character runs a lodge in North Karnataka. The movie is about what transpires between a few of his guests and him, at a particular point of time. The crux of the story unfolds in Karnataka.
Love 24*7 fame Nikhila Vimal is the female protagonist in the movie. “She plays a character named Varada, one of the guests at the lodge. For the past many months, we have been auditioning several new actresses for this role but finally zeroed in on Nikhila. We needed someone well-versed in classical dance,” says Mohanan.
Does that mean her character is a dancer? “I can’t reveal those details yet, but it’s imperative that the artiste playing the role understands classical dance well. Nikhila is a dancer and was even a Kalathilakam, so we decided to rope her in,” Mohanan explains.
Rajesh Raghavan pens the script of the movie, which also has Sreenivasan, Urvashi and Shanti Krishna in pivotal roles. Salim Kumar, Aju Varghese, Shammy Thilakan, Devan and Sneha Sreekumar are also part of the cast. Shaan Rahman composes music for the movie, which has Swaroop Philip as the cinematographer.
